Estonian Writer Jaan Kross Dies at 87

A sad note for the year end: Jaan Kross passed away yesterday. I just recently read and reviewed his last translated novel, Treading Air. Born in 1920, he had passed years in Soviet gulag after the WW2 and was a famous figure of Baltic literature. He had been several times candidate for the Nobel Literature Prize.
